Change of leadership in OceanSaver

(Drammen, 30 June 2017) Helle Hundseid has decided to step down from her position as the CEO of OceanSaver AS. Newly appointed chairman of OceanSaver’s board of directors, Kjetil Bruun-Olsen, is appointed as interim CEO.
Chairman Kjetil Bruun-Olsen says: «We would like to thank Helle Hundseid for the work she has put into building the company in difficult market conditions. The board will now immediately initiate a search for her replacement.»

Kjetil Bruun-Olsen has been appointed as interim CEO. He will also be succeeding Kjell A. Storeide as chairman of OceanSaver’s board of directors. OceanSaver AS was established in February 2003 and has developed leading technology for cleaning ballast water from ships. The OceanSaver ballast water system has been approved by the International Maritime Organization (IMO), and the US Coast Guard, (USCG). Bruun-Olsen says: «These are important milestones for the company and the organisation will now be embarking on a comprehensive commercialisation phase.»

Kjetil Bruun-Olsen has more than 30 years of combined experience from the shipping and offshore industries, including the role as technical director of various ship owners and project management positions in oil and gas projects. Bruun-Olsen comes from the position as CEO of Fram Marine, a consultancy working with project execution and operations in the maritime industry.

OceanSaver’s head office is located in Drammen and the company is represented in Korea and China.
